A Positive Daily Habit

Working out provides a much needed escape from your daily obligations, concerns, and stressors. If you want to transform your body and your life, loyalty to a daily habit of some form of exercise is a must! Whether it is five minutes of body movement, an hour of strength training, or anything that gets you moving…it all counts.
If you’re new to working out or have repeatedly fallen on and off the wagon, my best advice would be to: 1) pick something you’re good at, 2) find something you enjoy doing, and 3) find a friend to do it with you. If you follow this advice, you’ll have a better chance at continuing when the going gets tough.
Start slow in the beginning for a bigger end result. Small steps could mean attending half of a Zumba class, going for a short walk, or lifting weights for 20 minutes. After you’ve mastered performing at this level you can attend the entire Zumba class, go on a longer walk, or lift weights for 30-45 minutes plus. The key is to stop waiting around for the perfect time to start; just get up and go, do your best, and do a little bit more than the day before.
