Not ALL Fats Are BAD
If you are like most people, and trying to lose weight in some capacity, chances are you are cringing when you hear the word “fat.” This is not a bad word in the fitness and nutrition industry. For most, it’s because they do not quite understand the importance of good vs. bad fat, or unsaturated vs. saturated fats. Here’s a little hint…if you want to lose weight, you need to eat some fat.
The key is understanding the good vs. bad fats. Fats to avoid are found in processed and packaged foods like margarine, cake mixes, and french fries. These are all common saturated fats. The fats that keep you feeling full longer and are good for you are unsaturated or poly-unsaturated fats…found in seeds, nuts, eggs, avocado, olive oil, olives and fish.
